After recovering from a serious car accident that led to physical therapy and chiropractic care, little did I know this event would change my life forever and in a few years I graduated from the National Holistic Institute for massage in Emeryville, California in 2002.
While working various jobs as I earned my BFA in painting, I kept returning to the passion I have for massage and bodywork. In 2018 I furthered my studies, as I became a certified yoga instructor and started my path as a specialized Ashiatsu barefoot therapist. I have been blessed to have trained and worked with some of the best in the industry and am always eager to further my education.
After years of running my own successful practice in Portland Oregon, I have relocated to North Carolina for some sunshine and to practice what I preach of a slower pace of life.
I love to pamper my clients with spa-like treatments while still providing deep effective bodywork that is also relaxing. I specialize in utilizing a flow of Swedish relaxation techniques, using a deep tissue approach, Ashiatsu barefoot skills with Thai massage stretching and acupressure meridian work based in Chinese medicine - all while using your preferred amount of pressure. I love to incorporate tools if needed/desired such as cupping, hot stones, gua sha, etc.
As a trauma survivor - yoga, massage and meditation have helped me recover from so many big changes in my life and continues to be my holy trinity as I navigate through this practice of being human. I am grateful to be of service to all those in need of receiving safe touch and reconnecting to their bodies with acceptance. I love working with people of various sizes, ages, genders and abilities. ALL bodies deserve bodywork and self care. With my vast experience of over 2 decades, I have the skills in modifying our sessions for your unique body, comfort and safety. I will always listen to your needs and respect your limitations, regardless of what body you are in.
I enjoy swimming, painting, yin yoga, drinking tea, elaborate picnics and reading with cats.
